Let's just clear something up. Rent is okay, In fact, my freshman year in college was spent with me doing a one woman show of it. Looking back, it is totally cliche and uber-preachy. It also started this era on Broadway, which absolutely sucks. The era in which every musical needed to be a "rock" musical and singers basically scream instead of sing.
