It is rare that a book makes me laugh out loud. Superstud: Or How I Became a 24-Year Old Virgin was an amazing book. Paul Feig, who was the creator of the show Freaks and Geeks, wrote this memoir specifically about his lack of success with women and dating. I absolutely in awe of the way he writes. He details most of his embarassing moments, including some extracts of his journal from high school. The absolute funniest thing I ever read was the play-by-play of when he lost his virginity. Which, surprisingly, was less about the sexually explicit stuff and more about the hilarious self-consciousness and dumb stuff going through his head (i.e., what should he take off first, socks or pants?). I am a hige fan of memoirs and reflections, and I have rarely read anything better. I am in awe of authors who can write so descriptively and realistically. It was a like a celebration of the socially awkward and major geeks. A fantastic summer read. I hope he writes or produces another tv show/movie soon.
