Spring Awakening
I sooooo need to see the show Spring Awakening. Who would have known Duncan Sheik is still around?
Also, I sooooooo need to see Children of Men. Of course it’s not playing around here.

We just saw Children of Men today. It was good–brutal, very cool looking film. Clive Owen was fantastic. Thankfully there were little bits of humor to punctuate the intense moments. Take note when you see it that there are 2 really cool action sequences that are filmed each in just 1 take–incredible filmmaking from Cuaron.

Duncan Sheik is neither a fag nor an a-hole. He’s brilliant and a really nice, down to earth guy, judging from the interviews I’ve seen and heard. Spring Awakening is awesome. Even those who think Broadway musicals are cheesy and the farthest thing from “hip” will love this show. Bring a date…it’s a sexy, dark, disturbing, exhilarating show.

I really want to see Spring Awakening too! The score sounds excellent on the cast recording…very refreshing to the rock opera genre.
