Milwaukee- is it a nice place to live? Is there stuff to do? Is it liberal?

I visited Milwaukee for Tanja’s wedding. I thought it was fabulous….lots of parks, pretty waterfront, cute downtown. Plus everyone talks like Russ Feingold, which is awesome.
Arcata–my friend went to college there. All I know about it is that it’s pretty much the growing and distribution center for pot on the West Coast. Apparently you can buy it in 5 lb burlap sacks.

How does Russ Feingold talk? You mean his accent?

I’ve never been to Milwaukee, but “Happy Days” took place there. It was awesome. Or at least it was in the ’50s and early ’60s. Also, Scott Baio is supposed to be really hung.

Tanja’s hubby Dan grew up in Milwaukee. Email me some specific questions and I will get the answers!
And yes, I mean his accent. There is an Onion Radio News segment with Feingold talking about working in the mines (http://www.theonion.com/content/node/28645), but I can’t find it. Hmph.

Oakland!!! I try to go there at least once a year, since my friends live there. Lots of fun things to do, great places to eat, cool, fun shops, and of course near SF which has tons to do there too! I can’t say how transpo is since we drove everywhere.
