Oakland
So, has anyone ever lived/visited Oakland? Thoughts?
Wikipedia has informed me that it is the home of Tupac Shakur, MC Hammer and Tony! Toni! Tone!, has the eight highest crime rate in the US, had a major earthquake in 1989. In other words, awesome.
Oakland is very yuppie. They are starting (and have built!) to build more and more townhouses and condos. A nice “burb” of SF, but still its own city, and their airport is definitely way nicer and more convenient to fly in and out of compared to SFO. A lot of fun restaurants and places to go. Another winning point - it is relatively close to SF…if you are taking the BART. Driving = a nightmare! but then that is everywhere in CA…
