You know how much I love cover songs. I especially am in love with this cover of Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good” done by the Arctic Monkeys. It’s way better than anything the AM have done.

Also, Echo & the Bunnymen do a monotone cover of “All You Need is Love“.

  1. The Arctic Monkeys tracks is from the Radio 1 Live Lounge, which is a really great show on Radio 1. Popular acts come on and get interviewed by Jo Whiley and perform two songs live–generally whatever their current single and a cover of their choice. I assume this was the ‘Monkey’s cover whenever they appeared last. Jo had Robyn on recently who did a fantastic ballad version of “With Every Heartbeat” and then covered Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” which was perfect considering Robyn’s Swedish (if you don’t understand why this is perfect you’re not much of a pop music fan).

  2. BTW - Is that the Travis “Boy With No Name” cover up there on top? Great choice–love the architectural cover. Supergrass’ “Road to Rouen” and Bloc Party’s “A Weekend in the City” are good structural engineering as art covers too.
